New Delhi: Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehndi, wanted in a human trafficking case filed against him by Punjab police, today (Dec 19, 2003) submitted before the Supreme Court that he would surrender before the concerned court on January 8, 2004.

A Bench comprising Justice D Raju and Justice Arijit Pasayat directed the Punjab police to provide him adequate protection for the surrender before the appropriate court.

The court kept his bail petition for hearing on January 16.
