Vajpayee hints at Cabinet reshuffle
Monday, December 22 2003 18:07 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: New Delhi: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today (Dec 20, 2003) indicated the possibility of a Cabinet reshuffle in the wake of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK)'s decision to pull out its Ministers and withdraw from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

"There is no official word from DMK so far" with regard to the party's announcement in Chennai to quit NDA and withdraw its two Ministers, he told reporters at a function.

Asked about the possibility of a Cabinet reshuffle and whether Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee could get a portfolio, he said, "There is a possibility in case the resignations (of DMK Ministers) come."
