MDMK to decide its course of action on Dec 22

Coimbatore: In the wake of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) pulling out of National Democratic
Alliance (NDA), Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK), another key ally from Tamil Nadu,
would decide its "future course of action" on Monday (Dec 22, 2003), party treasurer and Union Minister
M Kannappan said today (Dec 20).
Kannappan said he would meet party general secretary Vaiko, detained in Vellore Jail under Prevention
of Terrorism Act (POTA), on Monday and hold consultations.
After this, senior party leaders would meet on Monday and take a decision on the future course of
action, Kannappan, without elaborating, said.
Refusing to give a "spot reaction" on DMK's decision, he said it was for the party to take a decision.
