Saturday, December 20 2003 14:33 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: A Delhi police inspector has been arrested by police in connection with the multi-crore Telgi stamp-paper scam, police sources said.

Puran Singh was arrested last night (Dec 19, 2003) by the sleuths of Crime Branch's Economic Offences Wing (EOW), after his name cropped up during interrogation of Telgi's associates, they said.

The EOW has arrested nine accomplices of Telgi in Delhi and is probing his nexus in the capital.
