| | Ajit Jogi ridicules CBI raid at his residence Tuesday, December 23 2003 22:48 Hrs (IST) Raipur:
Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and suspended Congress leader Ajit Jogi today (Dec 21, 2003) described as "ridiculous" Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raids at his residence.
"It is ridiculous that CBI registered cases against former Union Minister Dilip Singh Judeo on corruption charges but raids were conducted in my house also," Jogi said at the Mana airport.
"But it is a good thing that CBI found nothing during the raids," he said.
The CBI raided Jogi's house in connection with cash-for-MLA scam.
Police sources said simultaneous raids were carried out at Jogi's house and the Raigarh residence of Judeo's assistant personal secretary Natwar Rateria and the Jashpur house of the former Union Minister.
Meanwhile, Jogi headed for New Delhi on an unscheduled programme and Congress sources said he had been asked to go there by the party leadership.
