Samdrup Jongkhar (Bhutan): Bhutan King's second son Prince Jigyel Wangchuck has reportedly been injured in 'Operation All Clear' being carried out by the Royal Bhutan Army (RBA) to flush out Indian insurgents from its soil.

Reports received at Samdrup Jongkhar claimed that the prince sustained bullet injuries during an operation in the dense jungles at Lilibum along the Indo-Bhutan border area.

However, neither the Bhutan officials nor the Indian Army confirmed the report.

The prince, to save his motherland and its sovereignty, left his studies in Oxford midway to join his father King Jigme Singwe Wangchuck in clearing the kingdom from the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA), National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) and Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) militants who forcefully occupied Bhutan for 12 years.

The RBA, which launched the flush out on December 15, has already smashed all the 30 rebel camps, killed 120 insurgents and forced many of them to surrender.
