Cash-for-MLAs scam: CBI raids Ajit Jogi's house
Tuesday, December 23 2003 22:53 Hrs (IST)

Raipur: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today (Dec 21, 2003) raided residence of former Chattisgarh Chief Minister and suspended Congress leader Ajit Jogi in connection with the cash-for-MLAs scam.

Jogi and his family members were not present in the house when the agency sleuths began searching the residence allotted to him as a Chief Minister of the State, CBI sources said.

He has not vacated the official residence as yet.

Jogi is alleged to have bribed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders to prevent the saffron party from forming the Government in the State after the Assembly polls.
