Laloo is a 'joker in politics', says Thackeray Monday, December 22 2003 19:25 Hrs (IST) Mumbai:
Ridiculing Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Laloo Prasad Yadav as a "joker in politics", Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray today (Dec 22, 2003) sharply criticised the former Bihar Chief Minister for making anti-Sena statements.
"Laloo Yadav is a joker in politics. Whenever he speaks in the Rajya Sabha, he entertains the members," Thackeray said in the party mouthpiece 'Saamna'.
Referring to Yadav's recent criticism of Sena over its stir against North Indians, the Sena chief said, "Yadav should say all these things in Assam, where more than 60 Biharis were killed."
Yadav, during his recent Mumbai visit, had stated that the country does not belong to any particular organisation.
Criticising Sena, he had said, "Who will stop us? Anyone can go anywhere."
Thackeray said Yadav should not dare to utter such words again.
The Sena supremo also blasted the RJD chief for reportedly showering praise on Pakistan President Gen Pervez Musharraf.
