Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) today (Dec 25, 2003) announced Public Works Department (PWD) Minister and senior party leader Vijaysinh Mohite Patil as the next Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

The Home portfolio has been handed over to R R Patil, who is also the State unit chief of the party and Maharashtra Water Supply and Sanitation Minister.
