Foggy weather upset flight & train timings in Delhi
Friday, December 26 2003 12:23 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: New Delhi continued to reel under intense cold conditions with fog showing no signs of respite leading to cancellation or rescheduling of several flights and trains.

Many passengers were left high and dry due to changes in flight and train schedules as the dense fog continued to envelop Delhi throughout the night and this morning (Dec 26, 2003).

Dense fog reduced the visibility drastically to around 100 meters making operation of flights and running of trains virtually impossible.

Delhi recorded the minimum night temperature of 8.8 degrees Celsius against yesterday's 8.4 degrees Celsius, the Meteorological department said

However, the Meteorological department said, fog would continue to envelop Delhi for a few days more and cited western disturbances as the reason for this.
