Even as the killers of Satyendra Dubey were yet to be nabbed, another engineer working on the Golden Quadrilateral project in Gaya died under mysterious circumstances, official sources said today (Dec 29, 2003).
Amit Kumar, an engineer with Gammon India Pvt Ltd posted at Sherghati in Gaya district, was attending a party with his colleagues and friends last night when he complained of uneasiness and began vomiting, additional collector Ajit Kumar said.
He was rushed to a hospital, but as his condition deteriorated, those who had brought him there left, the official said adding that the engineer later died.
A post mortem is being conducted today to ascertain the cause of Kumar's death, he said.
Kumar's mysterious death comes a month after Dubey, project manager of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), also involved in the execution of the Golden Quadrilateral project, was shot dead by unidentified persons in Gaya on November 27.
