Former IISC director Prof Ramaseshan passes away

Former director of the Indian Institute of Science (IISC) Prof S Ramaseshan died in Bangalore today (Dec 29, 2003), his family sources said.
He was 80.
An emeritus professor, Ramaseshan is survived by his wife and three daughters.
He was closely associated with the Sir C V Raman Research Institute.
Ramaseshan was ailing for some time.
