Train derails in New Delhi; passengers safe Wednesday, December 31 2003 14:46 Hrs (IST) New Delhi:
Four coaches of a local train derailed at the Delhi Junction early this morning (Dec 31, 2003), but there were no reports of any casualty or injury to anyone.
The coaches of the Saharanpur-Shamli-Delhi passenger train derailed while entering platform number one at the railway station at 8:45 hours (IST), Northern Railways said in a press release.
Senior officials reached the site and supervised the restoration work. The train movement was restored at 9:50 hours, the release added.
