Vajpayee holds bilateral meeting with Jamali

Islamabad: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and his Pakistani counterpart Zafarullah Khan Jamali met today (Jan 4, 2004) in the presence of their Foreign Ministers and other senior officials.

The bilateral meeting took place at the Jinnah Convention Centre immediately after the conclusion of the inaugural session of the SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation) Summit.

On the Indian side, those present at the meeting were External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha, National Security Advisor Brajesh Mishra and Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Shivshankar Menon.

Jamali was assisted by his Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri and other top officials.
