Kolkata: City police recovered around 3,000 kg of material used for making crude bombs from the Amherst Street area of North Kolkata today (Jan 5, 2004).

Police said the seizure was made while the material was being transported on a pick-up truck.

One person was arrested in this connection and further investigation was on, the sources said, while declining to give details.
