| | 3 arrested for ferrying Guj youths to terror camps Tuesday, January 6 2004 18:56 Hrs (IST) Ahmedabad:
Three persons, including two brothers of dreaded and most wanted criminal Rasool Parti were arrested in connection with the 'ISI conspiracy' case in which youths from the city were allegedly sent to terrorist training camps in Pakistan to conduct disruptive activities in Gujarat, officials said in Ahmedabad today (Jan 6, 2004).
The three identified as Yunus Khan Pathan, Hamid Khan Pathan (both brothers of Karachi-based Parti) and Abdul Latif were nabbed after getting specific information of their whereabouts, the officials added.
The accused persons have been booked under POTA (Prevention of Terrorism Act) in the 'ISI conspiracy' case and would be produced later in the day for police remand to conduct detailed interrogation.
Preliminary interrogation revealed that Yunus and Hamid Pathan had allegedly coerced youths from the city to go to Pakistan for terrorist training at the behest of their elder
brother Parti while the third had allegedly financed several anti-social activities, the officials said.
The accused persons links in the tiffin bomb blast case would also be investigated, they added.
Crime branch has already arrested 44 people in this case and have booked all of them under the anti-terror law.
