NDA authorises PM to decide timing of LS polls

New Delhi: National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders today (Jan 8, 2004) authorised Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to take a decision on the timing for holding Lok Sabha polls.

After a meeting of NDA leaders, their convenor George Fernandes told reporters that Prime Minister has been authorised to decide when the polls would be held.

"The NDA leaders expressed total confidence in the Prime Minister's wisdom in deciding the dates for the polls," Fernandes said.
