No formal invitation from Pakistan: Advani
Friday, January 9 2004 15:42 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani today (Jan 9, 2004) said he had only seen media reports about being invited to Pakistan but nothing formal has been received by India so far.

"I have just seen media reports ... you people are only giving it a hype... nothing formal has come," he told reporters in a lighter vein when asked whether he would visit Pakistan anytime now.

Pakistani Interior Minister Fasal Saleh Hayat was quoted as saying by a leading Pakistani daily that he would like to invite Advani to discuss, among other things a "structured dialogue" to work out an extradition treaty between the countries.
