Huge cache of arms and ammunition recovered near LoC

Jammu: BSF (Border Security Force) today (Jan 11,2004) recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including 16 kgs of explosives and 130 high explosive devices, near Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district, official sources said.

BSF troops recovered these materials during a search operation at Bagla-Basholi Nallah belt, 100 kms from LoC, early this morning, a top BSF official said.

The recoveries also included about 500 rounds of ammunition, 47 under-barrel grenade launchers, 30 grenades, 45 electronic detonators, five magazines, four electronic fuses, one pistol, two card bombs, three IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices), two stick grenades and one anti-tank mine, he said.

Security forces had recovered 40 kgs of explosives in Doda and Rajouri districts of Jammu division yesterday (Jan 11,2004).
