| | It is Vajpayee versus question mark: Naidu Sunday, January 11 2004 13:59 Hrs (IST) Hyderabad:
Asking his partymen to reach out to those sections like minorities that have so far remained away from BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party), president M Venkaiah Naidu today (Jan 11,2004) said that the Opposition was in complete disarray and leaderless because of its refusal to accept Sonia Gandhi for Prime Ministership and its idea of forming two platforms would not succeed.
"The contrast with the Congress and the rest of the Opposition is stark. The Opposition is disunited. It is leaderless. Which is why I have said in the coming elections the choice before the people is Atal Bihari Vajpayee versus question mark.
"In their inability to unite under the leadership of the Congress and their refusal to accept its president as a Prime Ministerial candidate, the Opposition parties are toying with the comical idea of forming two platforms to defeat the NDA (National Democratic Alliance). They will not succeed," Naidu said in his Presidential address at the two-day BJP's National Executive.
"Clearly the advantage lies with the BJP and the NDA. We succeeded in Operation 2003. Let us now get ready to make Mission 2004 a grander success," he said.
