Venkaiah Naidu set for second term as BJP president

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president M Venkaiah Naidu appears all set for a fresh term as the head of the party before dissolution of the Lok Sabha, party sources said.

"The Prime Minister himself has clinched the issue. There will soon be election for presidentship. Already 23 State presidents have been elected and they will participate in this poll which will be over before the dissolution of Lok Sabha," Naidu said briefing reporters on the deliberations at the two-day National Executive meeting which concluded in Hyderabad today (Jan 12, 2004).
