Militant outfit threatens to kill Hurriyat leaders
Wednesday, January 14 2004 21:20 Hrs (IST)

Srinagar: Radical militant outfit Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen today (Jan 14, 2004) threatened to kill All Party Hurriyat Conference chairman Maulana Mohammad Abbas Ansari, a day after the APHC received an invitation from the Union Government for talks on Kashmir.

"Ansari and his colleagues are hereby warned not to kneel at the doorsteps of Delhi or else they will face dire consequences," the outfit's self-styled field commander General Mohammad Umer said.

"Ansari and his colleagues will be done to death one by one," he said. The militant outfit accused Ansari and former Hurriyat chairmen Prof Abdul Ghani Bhat and Mirwaiz Umer Farooq of a "sell-out".
