SIT official grills Telgi in Bangalore jail

Bangalore: Mastermind of the multi-crore fake stamp paper scam Abdul Karim Telgi was today (Jan 17, 2004) grilled by a Maharashtra Special Investigation Team (SIT) official at the central jail in the wake of his reported claim that he was ready to expose "big sharks" in the scandal.

Telgi was interrogated for one hour and 50 minutes by an SIT official from Mumbai at the Parapana Agrahara jail, DIG Prisons B S Abbai said. The court had permitted Telgi's questioning only for today, he said.
