PM hopes commitments would be implemented 'sincerely' Saturday, January 17 2004 14:11 Hrs (IST) New Delhi:
Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today (Jan 17, 2004) voiced the hope that the commitments undertaken during his talks with Pakistani leadership recently would be implemented "sincerely" to move "forward" rather than be caught in suspicion and hostility.
"India and Pakistan have taken some confidence-building measures recently. They have led to an understanding between us about the way forward towards relations of peace, in which security and stability can be enhanced," he said in the concluding session of a two-day meeting of chief secretaries and director generals of police on internal security.
Vajpayee said, "We hope that the commitments undertaken will be implemented sincerely and that we can move forward to focus on development and growth, rather than be caught in suspicion and hostility."
