Outsourcing issue blown out of proportion: Sinha
Wednesday, January 21 2004 20:58 Hrs (IST)

Washington: External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha has said that the issue of outsourcing of Information Technology jobs to India and other countries has been blown out of proportion.

Addressing American business leaders at a luncheon meeting organised by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Sinha said it is "really unfortunate" that Americans have lost their jobs due to outsourcing, but if the issue is considered in the overall perspective, both India and US have obtained benefits.

The Minister is in Washington on a three-day visit.
