New Delhi: Defying threats from various militant groups, a five-member Hurriyat conference delegation led by its chairman Maulana Abbas Ansari held its first-ever talks with Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani today (Jan 22, 2004) on Kashmir issue.

Besides Ansari, the delegation comprised Abdul Gani Bhat, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, Bilal Lone and Fazal-ul-Haq Qureshi.

Ahead of the meeting with Hurriyat, Advani was briefed by various bureaucrats including Vohra and top intelligence officials.
