Saturday, January 24 2004 11:23 Hrs (IST)

Islamabad: Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has termed as "a very good beginning" the talks between the Centre and Hurriyat Conference led by Maulana Abbas Ansari.

"It is a very good beginning. We hope that the process of dialogue will continue," Musharraf, who is attending World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, was quoted as saying by BBC in its dispatch on the Website.

Musharraf, according to BBC, said, "The (India-Pakistan) relationship will progress only if we show sincerity and resolve and also, may I say, boldness."
