Former Khalistan Commando Force chief attacked

Batala: Unidentified gunmen fired at the residence of former Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) chief Wassan Singh Jaffarwal in a village in Gurdaspur district late last night (Jan 25, 2004), police said today.

Zaffarwal escaped unhurt in the attack, they said.

Some 10 gunmen fired at the former KCF chief's residence in Zaffarwal village, police said.

Zaffarwal was at home when the attack took place.
