9 ITBP personnel awarded President's Police Medal

New Delhi: Nine officers and personnel of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) have been awarded President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Republic Day this year.

V K Upreti, DIG (Deputy Inspector General) and D S Agarkar, CMO-SG have been given President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service.

D R Sharma, Commandant, Isshan Pradeep, Commandant (Engineer), B B Dass CMO-SG, N D Devrani, Assistant Commandant, Shakti Prasad, Inspector, Brahmanand Nautiyal (Sub-Inspector) and Jagdish Singh (Head Constable) would be awarded with Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

ITBP, a premier Central paramilitary force, is responsible for guarding the 2115 km long stretch of Indo-China border.
