Srinagar: A senior Border Security Force (BSF) officer was killed when militants ambushed his vehicle in Baramulla district of North Kashmir, official sources said today (Jan 26, 2004).

Deputy Commandant Dr Niranjan Paul, a senior medical officer, was on way to join his battalion at Sopore when militants ambushed his vehicle at Highgam last night, the sources said.

Paul had arrived here yesterday by air.
