Conspirator arrested in Punjab jailbreak case

Chandigarh: One of the conspirators in the escape of four under-trials, including three accused in the Beant Singh assassination case, was arrested by Chandigarh police, police sources said in Chandigarh today (Jan 30, 2004).

The details would be divulged at a press conference this evening by IG (Inspector General) Rajesh Kumar.

The four under-trials had escaped from the high security Burail jail by digging a 100-foot long tunnel from their barrack on January 22, 2004.
