Best Bakery case: SC admits Zahira's petition
Friday, January 30 2004 12:26 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: The Supreme Court today (Jan 30, 2004) admitted a petition filed by Zahira Sheikh, a key witness in the Best Bakery carnage case, challenging a Gujarat High Court order upholding the acquittal of all the accused in the case.

The court also issued notice to Gujarat Government on a petition filed by social activist Teesta Setalvad, challenging the same high court order passing strictures against her for her "activist" role in the case.

Setalvad is seeking expungement of the high court remarks against her.
