Want to do something good, but no time - here's how
Saturday, January 31 2004 10:05 Hrs (IST)

A child working on the fields instead of going to school! People reluctant to donate eyes! A girl child being treated as a second grade citizen! There are many such problems that are common in India, things, which no Indian can ever be proud of.

But how to fight these kind of issues in such a huge country, which boasts of so much diversity? Can Internet do that? Here is an endeavor, from I love My India, in that direction.

Till now, the only method adopted to create awareness about these issues has been efforts by the Government and NGOs. But the size of the country makes it difficult to fight these evils so easily, and unless they are not fought, we will not have a 'Humane' India.

Internet is the medium of the future. What better than to use it? The initiative works on eCards - 35 eCards on 11 topics. The cards give a platform to all of us to join in this cause. Just choose a card, write the message below, and send it across to few of your friends! That's the idea. Slowly, the forward movement of the cards will carry the message across the country and to Indians living abroad.

All of us want to do something good, but don't have time. However, most of us access our mailbox everyday and little time invested there can give us a deep satisfaction of doing good. The first card, celebrate India talks of why India is a lovely country.

In the same menu, you will see all the card topics.

This initiative also gives an opportunity to small NGOs raise money with the cards. See General cards

Any NGO can use the cards and request funds. The section gives detailed method of creating database, message writing etc.

Please send cards to your friends, and also please inform and help NGOs send cards, and again please join in this effort. Your click on the mouse may be the beginning of a new revolution on the Net!

Come join a revolution!
