Cong allotted 3 more seats in TN; accord finalised

Chennai: Congress and DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) today (Feb 2, 2004) finalised their seat-sharing arrangement for the coming Lok Sabha elections with the former allotted three more seats.

The remaining seats are Salem, Periyakulam and Tirunelveli and the deal was finalised by AICC (All India Congress Committee) secretary Kamal Nath and DMK president M Karunanidhi at the DMK headquarters, DMK sources said.

The Congress had already been allotted seven constituencies and it would now contest 10 seats in Tamil Nadu.
