Kashmir DIG critically injured in militant attack

Srinagar: Deputy Inspector General of Police (crime) of Kashmir Mohammad Amin Bhat was today (Feb 2, 2004) shot at by militants in Barzullah area injuring him "critically", police sources said.

Bhat was attacked when he came out of a mosque after the prayers, they said, adding he was rushed to SMHS hospital.

Another person, Nazeer Ahmed Khan, was injured in the attack, the sources said.
