'Development' to be main focus of NDA's campaign: PM Monday, February 2 2004 10:54 Hrs (IST) Thiruvananthapuram:
Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee tonight (Feb 1, 2004) said development would be the main focus of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)'s campaign in the coming Lok Sabha polls.
When, on his arrival at the airport here, reporters asked whether development or Ayodhya was going to be the main poll plank for the NDA, he said "development".
But when the question on Ayodhya was repeated, he said, "All these are there."
On a question about the NDA's major campaign themes for the South, he said, "I will tell in Kanyakumari tomorrow."
To a question whether the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was going to rule on its own if it got 300-plus seats in the Lok Sabha, he said, "Our party leaders will tell you."
