Mumbai Police Commissioner Parischa transferred

Mumbai: Mumbai Police Commissioner, Dr P S Parischa, was today (Feb 3, 2004) promoted and transferred to the Maharashtra State Police Welfare and Housing Corporation as the new Managing Director.

Pune Police Commissioner, A N Roy is likely to replace Pasricha, as Mumbai Police Commissioner, official sources said.

Pasricha is one of the few police officials to have short stint as Mumbai Police Commissioner.

He joined as Mumbai Commissioner Police in November 2003, prior to which he was posted as ADGP (Administration) in the DGP's office.
