Chandigarh: A local court in Chandigarh today (Feb 5, 2004) framed charges against Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal in an alleged misappropriation of relief funds case during her tenure as the Chief Minister in 1996.

Bhattal was charged under Section 409 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 13 (1) (D) read with Section 13 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act by Additional District and Sessions Judge R S Baswana.
