Options open to move SC in Bofors scam: CBI
Thursday, February 5 2004 11:58 Hrs (IST)

Gaya: CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) Director Umashanker Mishra today (Feb 05, 2004) said that options were still open for the agency to move the apex court against the Delhi High Court's judgment giving a clean chit to late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and quashing of charges against three Europe-based Hinduja brothers in the Bofors case.

"I will go through the court's order on return to Delhi. We will take legal opinions before taking our next step," Mishra said who was here to review the progress made in the probe into the recent killing of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) project manager, Satyendra Dubey.

"We still have seven days in our hands. Options are still open to approach the Supreme Court against the High Court's verdict to maintain our credibility as the CBI is probing the case for the past 16 to 17 years," Mishra said.
