Pakistan Cabinet today (Feb 05, 2004) recommended President Pervez Musharraf to pardon the father of the country's nuclear bomb Abdul Qadeer Khan, who admitted transferring sensitive technology to Iran, North Korea and Libya.
The Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali, recommended Musharraf to accept the scientist's mercy petition and forgive him, private Geo television reported.
Musharraf is likely to announce his decision after reviewing the Cabinet recommendation, it said.
Khan yesterday (Feb 04, 2004) met Musharraf and admitted his involvement in leaking nuclear technology to Iran, North Korea and Libya and sought pardon.
