Lucknow: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will kick off Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP's) poll campaign for the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh from near Ayodhya tomorrow (Feb 7, 2004).

During his visit to the twin cities of Ayodhya and Faizabad, Vajpayee would inaugurate a railway bridge across the Sarayu River and address a public meeting, in which he would launch the BJP's poll campaign in the largest State in the country, which accounts for 80 Lok Sabha seats.

The Prime Minister would be accompanied by Railway Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Agriculture Minister Rajnath Singh and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, who returned to BJP recently.

Security has been tightened in and around the twin cities.

Vajpayee would arrive at the Amausi airport in Lucknow tomorrow morning and leave for Katra by helicopter. From Katra, he would travel in a special train and reach Faizabad after inaugurating the Sarayu Bridge linking Katra in Gonda district to Ayodhya.

He would address a public meeting at Faizabad in the afternoon before returning to Lucknow en-route Delhi.
