Three LeT militants killed in J&K encounter

Jammu: Three militants belonging to Pakistan-based Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) were today (Feb 8, 2004) gunned down by security forces in an encounter in Banihal area of Doda district, Defence sources said in Jammu.

The security forces had launched an operation in upper area of Banihal on a tip-off, during which the LeT militants were killed, the sources said.

Some arms and ammunition, including three AK rifles, were recovered from the slain militants, they added.
