Two held in kidney transplant scam in Mumbai

Mumbai: Mumbai crime branch has arrested two more persons in connection with the kidney transplant racket, police said today (Feb 09, 2004).

The two, arrested on Saturday (Feb 07, 2004), have been identified as Nabi Jaan (27) and Mudreka (27), both residents of Dongri area in South Mumbai. They have been remanded to police custody by a metropolitan court, a crime branch official said.

Crime Branch had earlier arrested Nephrologist, Dr S Trivedi of Bombay Hospital and four others, including alleged kingpin Shiva Kamat in connection with the transplant racket.
