45 killed, 150 hurt in car bomb blast in Iraq

Baghdad: A major car bomb blast in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad killed around 45 people and injured more than 150 early today (Feb 10, 2004) according to sources.

According to Police Lieutenant Hussein Sani the blast happened as hundreds of civilians had flocked to the police station at Iskandariya, 45 kms from Baghdad, to fill in applications to join the police force.
