Chennai: Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) general secretary Vaiko tonight (Feb 19, 2004) said he will not contest the coming Lok Sabha election.

He announced at a public meeting in Chennai that the deputy secretary of the MDMK farmers' wing V Ravichandran would be the party's nominee from the Sivakasi Lok Sabha seat, which was represented by Vaiko in the dissolved House.
