Ranchi: A number of labourers were believed to be trapped today (Feb 20, 2004) in Jitpur colliery, as water was gushing in into the colliery at Jamadova in Dhanbad, police said.

According to preliminary reports, it is not yet clear how many labourers were trapped.

A rescue team has been sent, the sources said.
