One killed, three hurt in firing, bomb blast in Patna

Patna: A bystander was killed and three students were injured in firing and bomb explosion near Patel Hostel of Patna University during a clash between students and locals following an incident of eve teasing, police said.

Mahesh, a cart puller, was killed and three students were wounded when the residents of Bhikhnapahari locality under Kadamkuan police station clashed with the students of the hostel who had allegedly teased a local girl.

During the clash, both sides used guns and exploded bombs, in which Mahesh was killed on the spot and three students were injured, the sources said.

The injured were admitted to Patna Medical College and Hospital.

Raids are on to apprehend others involved in the incident.
