India and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries have shown willingness to work together to curb the menace of terrorism in the region and double the bilateral trade turnover to $ 24 billion in next two-three years.
"GCC has declared a war against terrorism and would co-operate with international community including India for the purpose," GCC chairman and Kuwaiti Commerce and Industry Minister Abdullah Abdur Rahaman Al Taweel said after the conclusion of two-day India-GCC industrial conference.
Terrorism is against the interest of Arab countries, which have taken stern steps against it, the Minister heading the Council as representative of Kuwait, said.
Official sources said the fight against terrorism is top on India's agenda and the country would work with those who share the goal.
