Kerala Governor Sikander Bakht passes away

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Governor Sikander Bakht died tonight (Feb 23, 2004) at the Medical College Hospital, hospital sources said.

Bakht was battling for life since last night when he was put on ventilator at the hospital where he had been recuperating after an emergency surgery for an intestinal block on February 19.

The Governor's condition took a serious turn last night after he suffered a viral attack.

He had been put on ventilator at the cardiac intensive care unit.
