Uma's nephews meddling in Govt affairs: Digvijay Thursday, February 26 2004 20:14 Hrs (IST) Bhopal:
Alleging that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had tightened its grip on the Uma Bharti Government, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh today (Feb 26, 2004) said, "Not one but two RSS are playing an active role in administration."
"While one RSS is the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the other one is 'Rahul, Siddharth and Swami' (Uma Bharti's two nephews and brother Swami Lodhi) ... And they are interfering in Government functioning," he told reporters.
Singh claimed that important decisions, including those relating to transfers of officials, are being taken at the instance of these three close relatives of Bharti.
Singh further added Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had strongly opposed when he appointed one advisor during his tenure as Chief Minister but now Uma Bharti has so far appointed four advisors and "the number could increase further".
